The Kimberley Process Plenary marks the pinnacle of this year’s KP agenda. With delegates from around the world coming together to discuss and adopt key administrative decisions, it is a crucial event in our ongoing efforts to regulate the international diamond trade and prevent conflict diamonds from entering the market.
KP Chair and Vice-Chair

The chair oversees the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) and operations of the working groups, committees and administration that activate the KP.

Working Group of Monitoring
The Kimberley Process Working Group on Monitoring (WGM) deals with issues relating to the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme by participants, with a view to promoting full and effective implementation by all participants.
Working Group on Artisanal and Alluvial Production (WGAAP)
The WGAAP aims to promote more effective internal controls on the production and trade of alluvial diamonds.
Committee on Rules and Procedures (CRP)
The primary goal of the Committee on Rules and Procedures (CRP) is to develop rules and procedures within the KPCS and make recommendations to the Chair of the Kimberley Process regarding compliance with the rules and procedures established in the KP.
Ad Hoc Committee on Review and Reform (AHCRR)
The Ad Hoc Committee on Review and Reform (AHCRR) is mandated to perform the review and reform of the KPCS, and the present AHCRR starts from 2023 which is the start of the review cycle of the KP. The AHCRR may constitute sub-teams to assist the process of review and reform.
